Shelby Bergen

Shelby is an illustrator and graduate from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, currently living in the Twin Cities metro area. She loves bringing bright colors, patterns, and silly little details into her work. As a fat artist, Shelby often depicts underrepresented bodies in fun and empowering ways in order to help change the narrative around them. Her work has been featured both online and in print, including illustration for the Fat Folks Tarot Project; The (Other) F Word: A Celebration of the Fat and Fierce (Amulet and Abrams); and the periodic Fat Craft, a zine she edits with a fellow artist. She can often be found posting on Instagram at @shelby.bergen and playing with her three cats: Bacon, Pancake and Eggs Benedict.
