Michael Emberley

Michael Emberley has been writing and illustrating children's books for over 40 years. Originally from Ipswich, Massachusetts, he has lived in Ireland for the past 15 years. He excels at both fiction and non fiction, his own written work, as well as collaboration.

Michael is a versatile, sought after illustrator. He has collaborated with many well known authors and poets. He designed and illustrated the classic, It's Perfectly Normal series with author Robie Harris, and created an innovative You Read To Me, series with Poet Laureate Mary Ann Hoberman. Michael has also written and illustrated his own humorous and original early readers, including, I Did It!, as well as writing and illustrating the only picture book showing how a text message actually travels across the world, titled -  The Message - the Extraordinary Journey of an Ordinary Text Message.
