Lucía Franco

Lucía Franco is a Uruguayan author and illustrator with a graduate degree in graphic design from ORT University in Montevideo. She has worked as a graphic designer for several commercial studios and agencies, and as an art director at a publishing house, which inspired her to specialize in editorial design and illustration.

Lucía has illustrated books for children and adults, and done editorial and commercial work for newspapers, magazines and companies in Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, France, and the United States. Her work has been featured in collective and individual exhibits in Uruguay and abroad. Lucía’s illustrations are always filled with details. She uses a variety of media, including colored pencils, watercolor, paper cutouts, wax pastels, and ink to create vibrant, engaging images with lots of texture.
